Day 1 Saigon – Arrival
Upon arrival , meet your guide and transfer to the city.
Day 2: Saigon
We leave Saigon in the morning and transfer to Cu Chi to visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels.
In the afternoon visit the War Remnants or History Museum and the former Presidential Palace, from there stroll to the major sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City: the Old Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. At the end of the afternoon head back to your hotel.
Day 3 – Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta
The Mekong Delta, south west of Saigon, is known as the rice bowl of Vietnam. Cai Be is located in Vinh Long province. Board the charming Mekong Queen, a wooden motorboat, which will help you get closer to daily life and agricultural activities along the Mekong River. Visit the small Cai Be floating market. Lunch and take a stroll around the orchard to see how fruit is cultivated. Transfer back to Saigon.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City- Nha Trang
Flight to Nha Trang, a classic seaside town with enough activities and excursions on offer to entertain the most energetic beach fan.
Afternoon visits to Long Son Pagoda and Ponagar Cham tower.
Day 5: Nha Trang
This morning take a boat off the coast of Nha Trang which visits some of the nearby islands and where you can swim and snorkel in the clear warm waters. After a fresh seafood lunch on ‘Bamoo Island’ return to Nha Trang City.
Day 6: Nha Trang- Da Nang- Hoian
Transfer to airport for a midday flight to Hoian. Hoi An, A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Despite the passing of 200 years and the ravages of weather and war, the centre of Hoi An remains much the same as it was in its heyday. Walking to the ancient town.
Day 7: Hoian
Spend time with a local farming family to learn about their daily lifestyle and to discover the flavours of fresh Vietnamese cuisine. From Hoi An you’ll cycle or drive along shady lanes to the village of Tra Que and join the farmers as they work on their vegetable garden. Try your hand at making tam huu, a local delicacy, before enjoying a delicious home cooked lunch.
Day 8: Hoian- Hue
Enjoy a scenic drive to Hue via Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Beach. Hue served as Vietnam’s political capital from 1802 to 1945 under the rule of the 13 emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Afternoon boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda. Visit Minh Mang mausoleum and a guided stroll through the bustling Dong Ba market.
Day 9: Hue Adventure day
A full day on cycle exploring Hue’s beautiful countryside, handicraft villages, mausoleums and temples. Cycle to Thuy Xuan village, where they make traditional Hue hats (known as Non Hue) –then pedaling to the Imperial Citadel. Lunch in a garden restaurant, cycle along the Perfume River from the Citadel to Thien Mu Pagoda King, Minh Mang Tomb.
Day 10: Departure
At leisure until transfer to airport for your flight to Saigon/Hanoi.
