Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh City – Arrival
Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel
Morning explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Return to Saigon.
Afternoon, visit Cho Lon, the Chinatown district. Discover the markets, shops and Cantonese Thien Hau Pagoda, dedicated to the goddess of the Sea. Dinner at a popular BBQ restaurant for a ‘grill your own meal’.
Day 3 – Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre- Can Tho
Depart for a 1.5 hour drive from Saigon to Ben Tre, one of the country’s southern provinces. Enjoy boat trip on Mekong River. Visit local workshops and orchards. Lunch. Drive to Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho- Saigon- Nha Trang
Morning boat trip to the famous Cain Rang floating market. Enjoy cycling on the beautiful country lanes. Transfer to airport for evening flight to Nha Trang.
Day 5: Nha Trang
Nha Trang is a classic seaside town with enough activities and excursions on offer to entertain the most energetic beach fan. This morning take a boat off the coast of Nha Trang which visits some of the nearby islands and where you can swim and snorkel in the clear warm waters.
Day 6: Nha Trang- Da Nang- Hoian
Transfer to airport for a midday flight to Hoian, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking tour to the ancient town.
Day 7: Hoian
Morning boating on Thu Bon River with cooking class. Free afternoon.
Day 8: Hoian- Hue
Enjoy a scenic drive to Hue via Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Beach. Hue served as Vietnam’s political capital from 1802 to 1945 under the rule of the 13 emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. Afternoon boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda. Visit Minh Mang mausoleum and a guided stroll through the bustling Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue
Day 9: Hue- Hanoi
Visit the Tomb of Khai Dinh is located on a hillside and brings together Vietnamese and European elements. Afternoon, transfer to airport for a short flight to Hanoi.
Day 10: Hanoi
Visit to Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, Ngoc Son and Ba Kieu temple. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the bustling Old Quarter and sprawling Dong Xuan Market Then cap off the day with a show at the water puppet theatre – a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes of rural life and episodes of national history.
Day 11: Hanoi- Duong Lam Village
Today’s excursion west of Hanoi to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River Delta which still preserves many hundred-year-old houses. Lunch in a 100-year old house.
Visit Mia Pagoda and return to Hanoi.
Day 12: Hanoi- Halong Bay
Depart to Halong Bay. Enjoy the 2 days cruise by traditional boat in Halong Bay, Unesco’s World Natural Heritage. Enjoy lunch as you cruise at a leisurely pace amongst the towering rock formations of this breathtaking bay. In the afternoon visit one of the many caves found on the islands, swim in the clear waters or simply relax on the sun deck. Overnight on board.
Day 13: Halong Bay- Hanoi
Rise early and greet the day with another refreshing Tai Chi class on the upper deck. Cruise ends at lunch time. Drive to Hanoi.
Day 14: Departure
Transfer to airport for your onward flight.
